Movin’ On Up

So you’ve probably noticed that something is a little different around here now. If not, let me fill you in…

That’s so New York is no more. I’ve decided to re-brand my blog, which is why it’s now simply titled Daniel Dunt and can be reached through danieldunt.com, rather than tsnewyork.com. There were many reasons for doing this, with the main reason being that many thought I was located in New York. However, this is not the case; I am, in fact, based in London. That’s so New York was simply a catchy title that my brother came up with nights before I started blogging over 2 years ago, way back in January 2011.

With me leaving college in just 2 months, I want to mature as a blogger. When I say mature I’m not referring to what I’m writing about or my writing style, but instead starting to think about blogging as something which could perhaps go somewhere. I’ve already gained an absolutely wonderful following and I want that growth to continue. I’m also at a point where I’m not completely unhappy with my appearance and therefore hope that images of my outfits will, on occasion, pop up and be to your liking. Not to worry, though; I’m not going to start spamming you with an outfit a day or anything, but instead maybe once or twice a week.

Please don’t think that I’m changing or this space is changing, because it’s not. My focus is still on new, independent and emerging, creative talent, and fashion is and will continue to be at the centre of this blog. That’s not changing and I doubt it ever will. With me soon working on Caption London full-time and with a handful of other projects in the works, including a collaborative brand with British womenswear designer Dominique Kral and a small menswear brand, it seems that the fashion industry is stuck with me, and I’m not complaining.

Now I’ve bombarded you with heaps of text, can you do me a big favour?

Because Facebook is impractical and doesn’t allow you to simply change the name of a Facebook page, I’ve had to create a whole new page for my blog. On that note, please do “Like” my new page. I will continue posting to the old page for a while, but it will eventually be deleted and I don’t want to lose all of my brilliant readers when it comes to its inevitable end.

You can also follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin’, Tumblr and Instagram.

A weekend in Paris

I returned to England after a long weekend in Paris for the first time yesterday evening and it’s safe to say that I’m, without doubt, in love with the city. It was really nice to take a weekend away from work and instead wonder around what I would consider to be one of the world’s most beautiful cities with a few friends, eating out every evening at nice restaurants and sightseeing during the day. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend. On that note, I took to Instagram for the entire weekend as and when my Wi-Fi was available, usually in the hotel during the evenings, so below is a collection of just a handful of my favourite snaps from the weekend…

Paris

As you can see, we visited the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Disneyland, and spent the rest of our time sitting in restaurants and walking down the picturesque streets of Paris’ city centre.

If you haven’t already been to Paris, I’d definitely recommend that you visit at least once!

New Wallet, New Year

To ring in the New Year I wanted to share my new wallet with you all, a lovely gift from the guys over at London based luxury accessories brand MARK/GIUSTI. The “Gentleman” Wallet is one of the smaller pieces from the debut MARK/GIUSTI collection, “Bring Back Time”. Made from 100% genuine grained calf leather and featuring five compartments for credit cards, a pocket for coins or business cards and three compartments for money notes, this is by far the most stylish, practical wallet I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning.

I am planning on using this beautiful wallet in my first ever outfit post later this month but I hope this quick snap I took yesterday evening using Instagram will be enough for now.

Thank you for the lovely gift, MARK/GIUSTI!
