Editorial Calendar

I’ve been babbling on about jotting up an editorial calendar for the past month or two and, as of yesterday afternoon, I have one. I’m unsure as to why I didn’t write-up some sort of plan a little sooner, as it took me approximately 1 minute and 17 seconds, and is going to make everything a whole lot easier.

We all have our favourites when it comes to different types of posts on blogs, and this is where the editorial calendar comes in. I have written out a weekly plan of the different days I will post different things and, if you like, you can only visit my blog on the days when the types of posts you admire pop-up; although, it would be great if you could try and pop-in as often as possible.

Monday: Interview with industry professional (e.g. designer)
Tuesday: Collection or designer write-up
Wednesday: Music (currently playing: name of track and artist)
Thursday: Single Q & A (e.g. “what made you want to become a designer?”)
Friday: Product post (e.g. “these shoes are rad…”)
Saturday: Break
Sunday: Music (currently playing: name of track and artist)

This is of course not set in stone. If I see something that I really want to post there and then, it will be done, regardless of what day it is. The purpose of the editorial calendar is really to get me to post as much as I can. Since the launch of Caption London over 1 month ago, I have been incredibly busy, and you may have noticed that my blogging has been all over the place. I’ve just started work on a handful of additional projects, and I’m determined to not let them get in the way.

Thank you very much to those of you who pop by as much as possible. I really appreciate it. To those of you who rarely visit me: you should come by more often. I get lonely.
