Drawing inspiration from the process of making, Kevin Azzopardi is focused on analyzing conventional methods of construction and finding new ways to assemble garments. The outcomes see the fusion of the structured and the fluid, and represent a modern take on menswear.”
For Spring/Summer 2013 menswear designer Kevin Azzopardi presents us with a simple but intriguing collection of summer essentials, including everything from your basic printed t-shirt to a classic pair of tailored, pleated shorts. As with all of Kevin’s work he has experimented with different cuts in order to obtain intriguing results, creating t-shirts and jumpers that are cut in a way which makes them appear as if they have a hole in the centre, and jumpers with contrast patchwork detailing. Kevin’s work is a complete twist on classic menswear and his, at times, feminine approach to design by focusing on shape and the body rather than conventional masculine characteristics is incredibly attractive.
